The NFL is in a period of transition and the NFL Draft is coming up.
Some teams will go in a different direction than others, but the current crop of quarterbacks on the market is a bit more established than last year’s crop.
The draft picks are the best ones to get a look at this year.
This article attempts to rank the top 20 quarterbacks on each of the 30 teams and compare their draft positions to the rest of the NFL.
This list is by no means comprehensive and we may miss a player, but it should give you a good idea of how the NFL is shaping up.
The NFL Draft in 2018 will be in Philadelphia on March 27, so let’s take a look.1.
Colin Kaepernick (San Francisco 49ers) The 49ers have a number of young quarterbacks in Colin Kaepernick and Marcus Mariota, but they have a very good chance of landing a top-tier quarterback if they go the “trade route.”
The 49er’s lack of success at finding top-level talent is well-documented and Kaepernick is the perfect fit for the 49ers offense.
He has the ability to run a pro-style offense and it’s a big reason why they are one of the most balanced teams in the NFL, thanks to a solid offensive line.2.
Blake Bortles (Jacksonville Jaguars) The Jaguars could have been the best team in the AFC East with Bortes at the helm.
They have the best quarterback in the league in Blake Borts, and he’s a great fit for Gus Bradley.
He’s a veteran with NFL experience and can lead the Jaguars in every area.3.
Marcus MariOTA (Tennessee Titans) Mariota has a reputation as a quarterback that is very underrated in the game of football.
He is the best passer in the draft and he could be one of those guys that the Titans could look to get for the draft.
They could get a quarterback in Round 1 that they like and the Titans would have to trade up to get him.4.
Jacoby Brissett (Houston Texans) The Texans could get their man in Jacoby in the third round, but if the Texans decide to go that route, Brisset will be their best option at No. 3 overall.
He should be a perfect fit in Houston and has the NFL-ready arm.5.
Marcus Lattimore (South Carolina Gamecocks) The South Carolina Gamecock have been looking for a franchise quarterback for a while now and there has been some buzz about Lattire.
Lattish will be a great quarterback and he is a great prospect.6.
Derek Carr (Oakland Raiders) Carr is an elite quarterback that the Raiders could be a lock to get in the top three if they land their guy.
He could be the guy for the Raiders if they choose to go this route.
Carr would be a franchise-caliber player.7.
Christian Hackenberg (Penn State Nittany Lions) Hackenberg has been a hot name in the last few years and he has a ton of talent in the Penn State backfield.
He can run a lot of different schemes and he should fit in perfectly with the Penn St. offense.8.
Ryan Nassib (Miami Dolphins) Nassib is a former Ohio State quarterback that could be an ideal fit in Miami.
He would fit the team’s philosophy and could be really good.9.
Trevor Siemian (Denver Broncos) Siemian is a proven NFL quarterback and his pedigree could be worth a look in the future.
He doesn’t have a ton to work with in the National Football League, but he could help the Broncos get some wins next season.10.
Jake Locker (Pittsburgh Steelers) The Steelers have had a rough season.
They need some stability, but Locker has the experience, leadership, and talent to be the difference-maker they need to go on to win the AFC North.11.
Teddy Bridgewater (Minnesota Vikings) Bridgewater is a dynamic young quarterback that has the skillset to be a big-time franchise quarterback in this league.
Bridgewater is in the prime of his career and he would be an excellent fit for Teddy Bridgewater.12.
Andrew Luck (Indianapolis Colts) Luck has been one of my favorite players in the history of football and he fits the Colts scheme perfectly.
He won’t be able to do it alone, but with the right supporting cast around him, Luck could be unstoppable.13.
Mitch Trubisky (Clemson Tigers) Trubiski is a quarterback who has the talent to succeed and a strong supporting cast.
He will be one to watch come April.14.
Marcus Allen (Michigan State Spartans) Allen is a big time talent and he may be a steal at No 1 overall.
If he goes this route, he will be able get a lot out of Michigan State and give the Spartans the edge they need.15.
Ryan Tannehill (Florida State Seminoles) Tannehill is a huge quarterback and the combination of
